Hello December! This marks my last post for the Minerva Blogger Network (which was closed since the new fancy Minerva website was launched). Without knowing at the time I picked this kit that this will be my past post, I think this last project is a great way to end one stage of my collaboration with Minerva on a high.
Since it’s December, like previous years I chose to make something that could be easily worn on Christmas day.

Even though the pattern, McCall’s 8113* is very simple, I really likes the shear version and I wanted to make myself a similar outfit. The fabric had to be red of course and after some time researching the massive online store Minerva* has I settled for the dark red synergy georgette* which wasn’t the easiest of fabrics to work with but the final garment was well worth it.

Sewing Summary:
Pattern: McCall’s 8113* Tops with peplum & sleeve variations
Sizing: A5(6-8-10-12-14), E5(14-16-18-20-22)
Fabric: view C – 2.5 m dark red synergy georgette*
Notions: 22”invisible zipper*, superfine cotton interfacing*
