With another month gone by, it means that I’m back on the Minerva Blogger Network with another project. This time I made a jacket and trouser combo using the New Look 6351. The whole affair started with the icat canvas fabric, which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it.

I think with all the scrubs making happening around here, I ended up wanting a pair of trousers that are similar to scrubs trousers. This project was very easy with no difficult parts. A beginner will have no problem tackling this project, as there are no closures to the jacket apart form a hook and eye and the waistband on the trousers is a drawstring/elasticated one.
Sewing Summary:
Pattern: New Look 6351* – Misses’ separates pattern includes 3/4 sleeve knit V-neck top, unlined jacket, and pull-on pants and skirt with drawstring waist. I made views B (trousers) and D (jacket).
Sizing: A (all sizes included in one envelope) – 10-22 UK/US or 36-48 European
Fabric: 1.5 m Ikat cotton canvas and 2 m of black cotton drill
Notions: hook and eye for the jacket, 1 m of twill tape as a drawstring
