Is it just me, or time lately started going faster? I have no idea where the past month went. But it has, and I am back on the Minerva Blogger Network with a new project.
I was praying for some good weather when I picked this top as a project for July, knowing that this year there is a small chance of a holiday in the sun.

Quite versatile this little number. And since I was quite good at the pattern Tetris for this top, I had enough fabric left over to make some bags with it.
I made the Kato project bag from Kandou Patterns – I stabilised the fabric with interfacing to make it a bit more appropriate for a bag.
I really needed this project as for the past few months I’ve been sewing loads and loads of scrub sets.
Sewing Summary:
Pattern: NewLook 6575 *– I made a combination of the top bodice of view B with the bottom from view C
Sizing: A (all sizes included in one envelope) – XS to XL (US sizing)
Fabric: 1.8 m Lady McElroy Tokyo Parasol cotton lawn*
Notions: I used 2 m of chunky sparkly rope I had in my stash.
Modifications: the ease is quite big on this, so I decided to cut a small rather than a medium.
