Somehow I managed to develop a love for bodysuits this year. I’ve been making them as there’s no tomorrow. That’s how I ended up making one when I chose what to make for the Minerva Blogger Network for December.
Sewing Summary:
Pattern: Simplicity 8789 – Misses’ bodysuit blouses with a knit bottom feature a snap-crotch closure, front and sleeve variations, and gathers to give you that perfect tucked-in look.
Sizing: US XS-XL, European XP – XG or French TP- TG
Fabric: 1.3 m oriental fish print cotton poplin and 0.5 m back jersey
Notions: 6 buttons, 2 snaps, 1.2 m elastic (1cm wide), interfacing,
Modifications: I made view D and cut a US size Small. I shortened the sleeves by 5 cm. I used a different method to finish off the panties opening – Closet Case’s method used on Nettie bodysuit.
