Designin’December – Part Two

For part one please click here (in this post I talk about how I ended up doing this challenge – Designin’December hosted by Linda from Nice Dress, Thanks I made it!

I decided to start with making the shorts first. I remind you it’s Flint pants and shorts by Megan Nielsen Patterns and using a Made in England Wool Blend Pinstripe Suiting Dress Fabric Black from MinervaCrafts.

I made view 3 – shorts with button waist closing. Since I made my first version of Flint trousers (also my first project for MinervaCrafts Blogger Network – see link here). I decided that I would prefer the leg width to be a bit slimmer. So, I took out 3 cm from the back trouser piece.

There is not much else to say about this. It’s quite an easy garment to put together. I used my overlocker to finish off the seams.

I had some black self-covered buttons which I used for the waistband.

I feel that my little adjustment was a good idea. The trouser leg is not as wide as on my first version.

In my next post, I’ll share with you how I made the top.
