Happy Birthday Anita!! My very first non clothing project was making purses from placemats: http://gjeometry.com/2012/12/10/super-simple-sewing-rectangle-placemat-purse/ and my very first clothing sewing project was the classic elastic waist square piece of fabric skirt: (http://gjeometry.com/2012/12/12/a-skirt-in-two-rectangles/ ). I would love to win the first 2 patterns (Butterick 3520 and B4666) as they are so pretty and my size! Thanks for the giveaway.
ps, just began following anita on twitter! (http://twitter.com/Gjeometry) (email is on my blog)
What a lovely blog, with lots of interesting information and Happy. Birthday Anita! The first piece of clothing I made, besides doll dresses, was a dress for my daughter! that. I simply measured and copied from a RTW dress – I’d be too scared to do it now! http://sewnbyangela.blogspot.ie/2009/03/my-mother-gave-me-basic-machine-that.html Thanks for a great giveaway, I particularly love that girls dress pattern.
