By the time you read this I am on my way to meet some lovely ladies in London among them:– Amity – Lolita Patterns, Clare –SewDixieLou. I am so excited. Can’t wait to meet them this is my first crafty meet up.
But I am supposed to share with you my fist Anna dress. I started it at the same time as the sew along – http://byhandlondon.com/2013/08/28/are-you-ready-for-the-anna-dress-sewalong/made by the girls at By Hand London. But I got distracted a little by my coat.
However, last night I finally managed to hand sew the hem. Its great. So love it. No adjustments were needed. The only thing I do not like is that I am crap at inserting the invisible zip. You can see the bloody think. Next time I will follow at the instructions including ironing it before. But the good news is this time the waist meets perfectly on the zip.

And for this one I did not even have to buy any fabric. I used some that was already in my stash that’s how I ended up making a two tone one .

Today was great. Been good though only got a souvenir from Liberty shop in London. But tomorrow me and Amity are going to hit some fabrics shops 😉
Those colors together look surprisingly awesome! Nicely done! I used Collette and Gertie invisible zipper tutorials after my first invisible zip was crap. The last few have been beautiful! ~Laurie

Your dress looks great! and seems to fit perfectly. You might think you haven’t done a great job on the zip but I bet all the people out there who don’t sew won’t notice – they’ll just be envious of your skills. I must get myself an Anna pattern before too long.
